Privacy and Data Protection in the Cloud

Many companies nowadays use cloud hosting, storage or computing to retain and process personal, financial and secret information.

When doing so, the Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) have, in most cases, full access to the information stored, and therefore the CPS users and end-users cannot ensure that their information is retained securely.

My short lecture shall explain the problem in relation to Securities Regulation, Privacy regulation and financial regulation and shall inquire whether hosting financial, medial and personal information in the cloud may require additional protection from CSPs.
